Stephanie Sun clinches 2 prizes at Singapore Hit Awards
SINGAPORE : Local singer Stephanie Sun clinched the Best Local Singer Award for the fourth year running at the Singapore Hit Awards.
At a star studded event on Friday, she sang 'Meeting' - the theme song for Raintree Pictures' movie 'Turn Left, Turn Right'.
It also won her the second award for the evening for the Best Song.
Stephanie is on a year long hiatus, but "Meeting" has still topped the charts on YES 93.3 the past year.
Hong Kong singer Faye Wong bagged the Best Female Singer Award, while the Best Male Singer went to Eason Chan.
Taiwanese prince of pop Jay Chou won the Most Popular Male Singer Award, and fellow Taiwanese Jolene Tsai was awarded the Most Popular Female Singer.
Topping the groups section was Taiwanese trio SHE, which won the Most Popular Group Award.
But what stole the show was when America-born Taiwanese singer Lee Hom got accosted by two female fans on stage, proving that the heart-throb deserves every bit of his award as the Most Marketable Male Singer in Asia! - CNA
